This multi day event will take you on different adventures throughout the park to capture and record photos of nature!

Join Park Staff for the 2024 iNaturalist city challenge BioBlitz at Palo Duro Canyon State Park!

You will go on different adventures throughout the park to capture and record photos of our insects, plants, and wildlife here in the park. If you are unsure what species it is, don’t worry we will do our best help you along the way. We will be taking a leisure pace along portions of our trail (Approximately 0.6 miles one way).

We will be utilizing the iNaturalist platform, you can download this as an app on your smartphone or even bring your camera and upload the images you take during the BioBlitz onto your computer.

Things You Should Know:

Meet: Soapberry, walking the Paseo Del Rio trail
Bring: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots, 1 liter of water per person per mile, and weather appropriate clothing, your cell phone or camera
Cost: Included with admission to the park. Park admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before the event)

Each BioBlitz will be at a different location each time.
