Learn the basics of birding and put our birding skills into action!

Start the morning with us as we walk near Lake Theo and identify the birds we see. Park binoculars are first come, first serve.

Where: Lake Theo Restrooms

Bring: Binoculars (if possible), smartphone with Merlin Bird ID app and/or eBird app, water, and comfortable footwear. Dress for the weather.

Cost: This event is free with park admission, $5 per person 13 and older. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
