The Dutch Oven has been the choice of cookware across the frontier for hundreds of years. Maybe you have grandma's oven rusting away in your shed, you were given one as a gift, or you've just wondered how they work. Here's your chance to learn the basics of this fine and useful cooking method.

Prepare: Dress warmly and bring camp chairs if you want a comfy place to sit. Samples of food that is prepared will be available to try, but we won't be serving a full meal. The Full Moon Hike follows this program, so dress for a hike and bring a flashlight if you plan to attend both events. 

Meet: At the Wolfberry Day Use Area, located on alternate Park Road 5 next to Juniper Camping Loop. Look for signs that will tell you where to turn. Plan to arrive at no later than 5:00pm at the park entrance to ensure that you make it to the hike on time. 

Fees: Regular park entrance fees - $5 per adult, kids 12 and under are free.
