Description:

Painted Buntings, Mississippi Kites, and many other beautiful birds abound at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Join park staff for this evening birding walk to see and learn about some of these beautiful creatures. Veteran and new birders are all welcome!

Prepare: Dress for the weather, wear hiking shoes, and bring water to drink. Binoculars and bird guides are useful, but not required. Palo Duro Canyon bird checklists will be available as well as a few sets of binoculars. 

Meet: At the Chinaberry Day Use Area, located just past the first water crossing on the floor of the canyon. 

Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program.
