Experience Palo Duro Canyon after dark on this full moon hike. Learn about night creatures, moon phases, and other cool nighttime things on this easy hike of about 1 mile.

Prepare: THIS EVENT REQUIRES REGISTRATION. Registration is open to the first 30 people who sign up, and no registrations will be taken after TUESDAY MAY 22. To reserve your spot, please email the number of people in your group and a contact phone number to the park interpreter at jeff.davis@tpwd.texas.gov. You will be notified if your group has made the list or not. 

For the hike, dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes or boots and bring a flashlight or headlamp. Red colored lights work best for nighttime use! Also be sure to bring plenty of water to drink and any questions you might want to ask about the canyon or the park. 

Meet: Registered participants will be given instructions on where to meet. 

Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program.
