Explore the flora, fauna, geology, and history of Palo Duro Canyon on this easy 1.5 mile hike. This hike will last about 2 hours.

Prepare: Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes or boots, and bring plenty of water. Friendly pets are welcome, but they must be leashed and have their own supply of water. Plan to arrive at the entrance to the park by 1:30pm to ensure that you will make it to the hike on time. 

Meet: At the Mack Dick Group Pavilion parking lot. The hike will end near Hackberry Campsite and participants can either hike back to the trail head or catch a ride with the ranger. 

Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program.
