Palo Duro Canyon is full of creepy things that go bump in the night. But are they really so scary? Come experience a night hike at the park and learn why the things that come out in the dark really aren't so scary after all.
Prepare: Dress for the weather, wear good hiking shoes or boots, bring water to drink and bring a flash light. Lights with a red filter work the best for night hiking. The park interpreter will have some red filters to share. Plan to arrive at the park gate by 7:00pm to ensure that you make it to the trail head on time.
Meet: At Chinaberry Day Use Area, located just beyond the first water crossing on the floor of the canyon.
Fees: Regular park entrance fees ($5 per adult, children 12 & under are free). No charge for this program.
